Codex in Xcode doesn't allow model selection

What issue are you seeing?

I have been wondering how I was burning through my 5h daily limit in under an hour, only to find out that the current model was gpt-5.5 (/status).

There is no way to change the model from the chat (/model doesn't work), there is no dropdown for model selection on the chat, and the options for the agentic integration of codex in XCode show a spinning wheel attempting to authenticate that does not resolve, so no further options are available.

Restarting XCode or the Mac doesn't help.

It would be great if /model could be supported in chat as a quick mitigation.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open Xcode, type /status in intelligent assistant chat window, result: gpt-5.5 selected.
Open Intelligent Settings, select Codex agent integration, result spinning wheel and no further options available.

What is the expected behavior?

Options to configure model to use in xcode available either through chat or elsewhere.

Additional information

This is the latest released xcode plus released code plugin, this scenario should be supported and regularly tested.
