What variant of Codex are you using?

CLI

What feature would you like to see?

Show vim status in statusline.

Currently the only way to decide the vim status is the style of the cursor in prompt window. If the cursor is a vertical line, I know it's in insert mode. If the cursor is a block, I know it's in normal mode.

BTW, it would be better if statusline supports to change order of each part. So that I can put the vim status at the very beginning. We can determine vim status more quickly!

Sorry my bad. I just saw statusline already shows the vim status in the right corner in version 0.130.0. Hope that statusline can support to change order of each part.

/statusline already allows you to change the order of the elements it displays.
