Codex CLI Token Usage Suddenly So High?

What issue are you seeing?

Codex burns up a huge amount of tokens even for a simple "Hello" message without other background processes running. I tried to install codex in a new computer but it was al the same.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?

Atleast a meaningful amount of token usage for simple tasks.

Additional information

It is a periodical thing. Sometimes it works okay. Other times I can finish the weekly limit before the 5 hour limit.
