Codex Desktop plugin search overlay renders as a large blurred panel that obscures plugin management UI

What happened?

In Codex Desktop, opening the plugin search UI from the plugin management page renders a large semi-transparent/blurred panel over most of the window. The panel obscures the plugin list and makes the UI hard to use. Some background content and controls remain partially visible behind/around the overlay, so the layer appears mispositioned or incorrectly clipped.

This happened in the current Codex Desktop version available to my account on 2026-05-12.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Codex Desktop.
  2. Go to the plugin management page. In my UI this is the 插件 tab.
  3. Click or focus the plugin search field (搜索插件).
  4. Observe the search overlay/popup.

Expected behavior

The plugin search popup should be positioned and clipped correctly, with readable search results and without covering unrelated areas of the plugin management page.

Actual behavior

A large blurred rectangular panel appears over most of the plugin management page. The contents behind it are heavily blurred, and parts of the underlying plugin cards/buttons are still visible outside the panel. This makes the plugin search UI difficult to inspect or use.

Environment

  • App: Codex Desktop
  • Date observed: 2026-05-12
  • OS: macOS 26.3.1 (Build 25D2128)
  • Architecture: x86_64
  • Locale/UI language: Chinese

Additional context

I have a screenshot of the bug showing the plugin search overlay covering the plugin management page.
