Codex mobile : Stale codex mobile connections
Open 💬 1 comment Opened May 15, 2026 by green-0-rabbit
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
latest
What subscription do you have?
Chatgpt plus
What platform is your computer?
Macos
What issue are you seeing?
Codex mobile still shows codex-remote-1 and codex-remote-2 under my desktop device
Both show as Offline with “last seen” timestamps
There is no delete/remove option for these offline CLI entries
They appear to be ghost/stale synced connection records, not real live servers

What steps can reproduce the bug?
Feedback ID: 019e2d00-ec07-7e70-9a16-d45d927abb5f
- Created two Hetzner remote CLI hosts: codex-remote-1 and codex-remote-2
- Later deleted both Hetzner servers
- Removed their SSH aliases, keys, and known_hosts entries on desktop
- Cleared local Codex desktop remote-connection state
- Restarted Codex desktop
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Codex mobile, then signed in again
What is the expected behavior?
- Deleted/disconnected remote CLI hosts should disappear automatically, or
- there should be a way to manually remove stale offline CLI connection entries from mobile
