Codex Mobile keeps stale Codex Desktop connection and new pairing becomes CLI instead of Codex Desktop

The first Codex Desktop connection shown in my ChatGPT iOS app was created during my initial mobile pairing attempt. After I cancelled or disconnected it once, this connection became stale. It now shows as offline, cannot be reconnected, and there is no visible option in the iOS UI to remove or reset it.

After signing out and signing back into the ChatGPT iOS app, I was able to authorize a new connection successfully. However, the new connection is shown as type CLI, with the name MacBook-Air.

Current state in ChatGPT iOS Codex Connections:

  1. CLI MacBook-Air, working
  2. Codex Desktop xxx-MacBook-Air.local, stale, offline, cannot reconnect, cannot remove

Expected behavior:

The stale Codex Desktop connection should be removable or resettable from the iOS app, or a new Codex Desktop QR pairing should replace the stale connection.

Actual behavior:

The old Codex Desktop connection remains stuck in the account / workspace connection list. New authorization only creates a CLI connection. I cannot restore a working Codex Desktop connection from iOS.

I have already tried signing out and signing back into ChatGPT iOS. This allowed a new connection to be created, but it did not remove or fix the stale Codex Desktop connection.
