Codex Desktop: “Relevant” chat filter actually means “Recently active”, making older project chats appear missing
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.513.30821
What subscription do you have?
ChatGPT Plus
What platform is your computer?
Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64
What issue are you seeing?
In the Codex desktop sidebar, the chat filter label “Relevant” is misleading. It appears to simply mean “recently active” not "relevant to topic or project" or some other "smart" definition of "relevant". When set to “relevant”, older >3 days project chats disappear even though the project folders remain visible, which makes it look like chat history was deleted or corrupted. Please rename this filter to “Recent” / “Recently active” or add clearer empty-state text explaining that older chats are hidden by the current filter.
This caused me a very tense fifteen minutes today. :)
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Functioning of "Relevant chats" filter is not as implied.
What is the expected behavior?
Please rename this filter to “Recent” / “Recently active” or add clearer empty-state text explaining that older chats are hidden by the current filter.
