Please add official Windows ARM64 support for Codex desktop app

What variant of Codex are you using?

App

What feature would you like to see?

Please consider shipping an official Windows ARM64 build of the Codex desktop app.

I’m using an ASUS ProArt PZ13 with a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 on Windows 11 ARM64. Codex mostly works through workarounds, but there is no official native ARM64 installer.

There is already a community wrapper/repack here:
https://github.com/airtaxi/codex-app-windows-arm64

That project shows there is user demand, but relying on unofficial repackaging, self-signed MSIX installers, and manually replaced Electron/Node binaries is not ideal from a security or trust standpoint.

Native Windows ARM64 support would improve:

  • security/trust
  • startup time
  • battery life
  • terminal responsiveness
  • Electron/Node native module compatibility
  • WSL workflows on Snapdragon X devices

Would love to see an official ARM64 build added to the Codex desktop app roadmap.
