Codex Desktop composer overlay renders incorrectly on built-in Mac display, but works on external monitor
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.513.31313 (2867)
What subscription do you have?
no
What platform is your computer?
Darwin 24.6.0 x86_64 i386
What issue are you seeing?
In Codex Desktop, the composer/input area shows a large blank white overlay underneath the input box with a close “×” button. It looks like a stuck popover or modal panel.
The issue only happens on the built-in Mac display. If I drag the Codex window to an external monitor, the overlay disappears and the UI looks normal. Dragging the window back to the built-in display makes the issue appear again.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Codex Desktop on macOS.
- Use the built-in Mac display.
- Focus the composer/input box.
- Observe a large blank overlay under the composer.
- Drag the window to an external display.
- The UI becomes normal.
- Drag it back to the built-in display.
- The overlay appears again.
What is the expected behavior?
The composer should render normally on both built-in and external displays.
