Codex Usage Web Bug: Personal Usage Chart Not Loading

Open 💬 11 comments Opened May 20, 2026 by qiutao20

What issue are you seeing?

Affected page:
https://chatgpt.com/codex/cloud/settings/analytics#usage

Actual behavior:
After opening the Codex Analytics page, the “Usage details → Personal usage” section does not display the bar chart. Instead, it only shows the empty-state message: “No data during this period.” Other parts of the page appear to load normally, such as the “Auto recharge” and “Credit usage history” sections.

Reproduction status:
I have verified this issue across multiple ChatGPT accounts, and the same problem occurs on all of them. Therefore, this does not appear to be a single-account data issue. It seems more likely to be a bug in the official Codex Analytics page or the backend usage data API.

Screenshot:
I have attached a screenshot. The screenshot shows the Codex Analytics page, where the personal usage section does not show the expected bar chart.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log in to ChatGPT.
  2. Open the Codex Analytics usage page:
  3. https://chatgpt.com/codex/cloud/settings/analytics#usage
  4. Stay on the “Usage” tab.
  5. Check the “Usage details → Personal usage” bar chart area.
  6. Switch the time range, for example “7 days,” “1 month,” or “Custom.”
  7. Observe that the personal usage chart still does not display.

What is the expected behavior?

If the account has Codex / Codex Cloud usage records, the page should display the personal usage bar chart for the selected time range.

Argh I'm going through the help system trying to report this and they just keep asking for more and more information before they'll even accept that it is a bug. I sent them some links to this, reddit etc where other people are reporting the same thing

Same issue here. Noticed it on 5/19/26, which coincided with an off-cycle rate limit reset on my account. My Personal usage chart now shows a single bar from May 4th and every other bar is gone, including all work done since 5/19. Looks like whatever ran during the reset may have wiped or broken the usage history backing this chart.

I doubt this is accidental, but I'd really appreciate this back. Since Codex-5.3 was removed Codex hasn't managed to complete a single unit (issue) and yet I'm burning through usage like crazy.

I'm not so concerned about how much value I'm getting for my subscription, I know that's something I can't control and that it will naturally get worse over time until model efficiency improves dramatically. However, my token consumption is something within my control. I'm pretty confident my main issue is 5.4 is constantly getting into compaction loops and Codex-5.3 didn't do this as often. But I'd like to see my token usage pre/post Codex-5.3 -> 5.4 migration for confirmation.
