I can reproduce this on Windows as well.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows
  • Terminal: PowerShell
  • Codex CLI: npx -y @openai/codex --version => codex-cli 0.135.0
  • Also reproduced from the installed Codex CLI path on the same machine

Repro:

npx -y @openai/codex mcp login figma

Observed error:

Error: Registration failed: Dynamic registration failed: Registration failed: HTTP 400 Bad Request: {"error":"invalid_redirect_uri"}

Notes:

This is reproducible with the latest npx CLI, so it does not appear to be limited to an old local install.
I also saw the Windows desktop OAuth callback issue separately (Unable to find Electron app at C:\Program...), but this CLI error happens earlier at the OAuth registration step and looks like a server-side redirect URI allowlist/config mismatch rather than a local protocol-handler problem.
Because the same failure occurs with the latest npx CLI, this may affect current Windows CLI users trying to authenticate Figma MCP from a clean setup.
