[Codex App] Fast Push is harder to use after moving into the floating Environment control

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.519.22136

What subscription do you have?

Not provided.

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 24.6.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

The Fast Push action is now separated into the floating Environment control. This makes a frequent coding workflow feel more detached and less convenient than before.

Fast Push is a high-frequency action when iterating on a repo. Placing it in a floating Environment surface increases friction because the action is no longer directly available in the main coding/chat workflow where the user is deciding to publish changes.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open the Codex App in a workspace with repository changes.
  2. Look for the Fast Push action while working from the main chat/coding surface.
  3. Observe that the action is separated into the floating Environment control instead of being directly accessible from the primary workflow area.

Actual result: Fast Push feels hidden/detached from the main workflow and requires extra attention to the floating Environment UI.

What is the expected behavior?

Fast Push should remain directly accessible from the primary coding/chat workflow, or the floating Environment placement should be adjusted so it does not make a common publish action slower or less discoverable.

Additional information

Observed on May 21, 2026. User feedback: the recent UI direction makes the app feel worse and less convenient for day-to-day repo work.
