Feature request: allow Codex mobile to pair with a separate Codex/API organization than the active ChatGPT account

What variant of Codex are you using?

ChatGPT iOS app + Codex app/CLI on macOS

What feature would you like to see?

I use ChatGPT Plus on my personal account for normal ChatGPT conversations and history, but I use Codex for work through a company-provided API key / organization billing.

Currently, Codex mobile appears to be tied to the active ChatGPT account/workspace in the iOS app. This creates a workflow problem:

  • If I stay logged into my personal ChatGPT account, I can access my normal chats, but I cannot see/control Codex sessions running on my Mac with my company Codex/API credentials.
  • If I switch the iOS app to the work/Codex context, I lose access to my personal ChatGPT threads in the mobile app.

It would be useful if Codex mobile could be configured separately from the active ChatGPT account, for example:

  • ChatGPT iOS account: personal Plus account
  • Codex runtime/billing: selected organization, workspace, or API key
  • Codex host on Mac: paired independently with that Codex credential

I am not necessarily asking to store raw API keys on iOS. A safer approach could be pairing the iOS app with a trusted Mac Codex host, where the host keeps the credentials and the mobile app only controls sessions authorized by that host.

This would support a common workflow where users have personal ChatGPT accounts but use company-provided Codex/API access for work.
