Mobile Codex stuck on "Waiting for desktop" despite active desktop session

Summary

Codex on mobile is stuck on "Waiting for desktop" and never connects, even though desktop Codex is open, logged in, and working.

What I expected

Mobile Codex should pair/connect to my active desktop Codex session.

What happens instead

Mobile stays on:

Waiting for desktop Follow the instructions in the desktop app to get connected

Environment

• Desktop OS: Windows
• Codex app version: OpenAI.Codex 26.519.5221.0
• Codex CLI version: codex-cli 0.133.0-alpha.1
• Mobile app: ChatGPT (latest available from Play Store)
• Same account used on desktop and mobile: Yes

Diagnostics already done

• Reinstalled desktop app
• Logged out/in on both desktop and mobile
• Retried pairing multiple times
• Verified desktop connectivity is healthy (codex doctor shows websocket connected)
• In Settings > Connections on desktop, I only see SSH connections (no mobile pairing / remote companion option)

Please check whether mobile pairing/remote companion is enabled for my account (or region rollout), and advise next steps.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex desktop on Windows and log in.
2. Open ChatGPT mobile app on Android with the same account.
3. Go to Codex on mobile and try to connect.
4. Mobile stays on "Waiting for desktop" and never pairs.
5. In desktop Settings > Connections, only SSH connections are shown (no mobile pairing option).

What is the expected behavior?

Mobile Codex should pair with the active desktop Codex session and allow controlling/viewing the session.
