After getting this auth error in Codex:

Error running remote compact task: unexpected status 401 Unauthorized: Encountered invalidated oauth token for user, failing request, url: https://chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/responses/compact, auth error: 401, auth error code: token_revoked

I logged out of Codex and tried to log in again. During login, Codex now requires phone verification.

I am located in Pakistan and I tried multiple real Pakistani mobile numbers in the correct international format (+92...), but every attempt fails with this error:

“Unable to send a verification code to this phone number. Please try again later or use a different number.”

I have already tried:

• Multiple real Pakistani SIM numbers
• Correct +92 international format
• Different browsers
• Incognito/private window
• Clearing cookies/cache
• Disabling VPN/proxy
• Waiting and retrying later
• Logging out and trying again

Nothing works, so I am currently locked out of Codex and cannot complete login.

Please help me complete verification or provide an alternative verification method for my account.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. I was using Codex normally.
2. Codex showed this authentication error:

1. I logged out of Codex.
2. I tried to log in again.
3. During login, Codex required phone verification.
4. I entered multiple real Pakistani mobile numbers using the correct international format (+92...).
5. Every Pakistani number fails with this error:

“Unable to send a verification code to this phone number. Please try again later or use a different number.”

1. I tried again after clearing cache/cookies, using different browsers, using incognito/private mode, disabling VPN/proxy, and waiting before retrying, but the same issue still happens.

What is the expected behavior?

Codex should allow me to log in successfully and complete phone verification using a real Pakistani mobile number, or provide an alternative verification method if SMS delivery to Pakistan is not working.

I should not be locked out of Codex after a token_revoked authentication error.

Additional information

I am located in Pakistan and I am using real Pakistani SIM numbers, not VoIP or temporary numbers.

The issue started after Codex showed a token_revoked / invalidated OAuth token error and I logged out to fix it.

I am currently unable to access Codex because the login flow is blocked at phone verification.

Please check whether SMS verification for Pakistani numbers is failing or blocked, and please provide a workaround or manual verification option.
