codex chrome can't be used in windows edition

What issue are you seeing?
node_repl.exe process running (PID visible) but mcp__node_repl__js tool not exposed to agent; browser-client.mjs fails with "privileged native pipe bridge is not available"
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Install Codex desktop on Windows (tested on Windows 11, Codex v26.519.x)
Ensure the Browser plugin is enabled (Settings → Plugins → Browser)
Install the Codex Chrome extension from Chrome Web Store
Start a new Codex thread with agent mode set to "full-access"
Ask: "Open the browser and navigate to example.com"
