What issue are you seeing?

I noticed a severe performance issue where my Mac gets extremely hot whenever the Codex App is running in the foreground, even though the actual heavy lifting/computing is done on the remote server.

Interestingly, as soon as I minimize the app to the background, the temperature drops back to normal instantly. This indicates that the app is consuming excessive local resources (CPU/GPU) just for rendering the UI or streaming text/logs when active.

Environment:

• Device: MacBook Air (M5 chip, Fanless)
• OS: macOS

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex App on Mac (running on remote server mode).
2. Type a command and keep the app window active in the foreground for a few minutes -> Machine gets very hot / High CPU/GPU usage in Activity Monitor.
3. Minimize the app -> Temperature drops immediately (From 80 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius).
