Android Codex remote transcript sync bug: macOS Codex App messages do not appear on Android

I am seeing a transcript sync issue between ChatGPT Android Codex and the macOS Codex App remote host.

The same Codex thread is visible on both Android ChatGPT and macOS Codex App, but Android only appears to show messages that were originally sent from Android. Messages sent later from the macOS Codex App in the same thread do not appear on Android.

This is not just a "recent sessions list" refresh problem. It happens inside the same visible thread.

Environment:

• Android ChatGPT app: latest version available from Play Store as of 2026-05-29
• macOS Codex App: 26.519.81530
• macOS host: MacBook Air, connected and shown online in Android Codex
• macOS platform: Darwin 24.6.0 arm64 arm
• Codex CLI on the same machine: codex-cli 0.130.0
• Same OpenAI account on Android and macOS Codex App
• Both Android ChatGPT and macOS Codex App are up to date

Actual behavior:

The Android transcript appears stale or one-way. Android-originated messages are visible, but macOS Codex App messages in the same thread are not synced back to Android.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open ChatGPT on Android.
2. Go to Codex.
3. Start a Codex thread from Android, connected to the macOS Codex App host.
4. Confirm that the same thread is visible in macOS Codex App.
5. Send a message from Android.
6. Confirm that the Android message appears on Android and is visible in macOS Codex App.
7. Continue the same thread from macOS Codex App by sending another message.
8. Return to Android and open the same Codex thread.

Result:

The Android app still shows the Android-originated message, but does not show the later message sent from macOS Codex App.

This appears to be a one-way transcript sync issue: Android -> macOS is visible, but macOS -> Android does not reliably appear in the Android transcript.

I am not including session IDs publicly, but can provide them privately to maintainers if needed.

What is the expected behavior?

Messages added to a Codex remote thread from macOS Codex App should appear in the same thread on Android ChatGPT Codex.

The transcript should remain consistent across Android ChatGPT Codex and macOS Codex App, regardless of which side sent the message.

Additional information

This is distinct from the issue where Android does not show all recent macOS Codex App sessions.

In this case, the thread itself is visible on Android, but the transcript contents diverge. Android continues to show only the Android-originated content, while messages sent later from macOS Codex App do not appear on Android.

This breaks the intended remote-control workflow because Android can start or interact with a remote Codex session, but cannot reliably read what happened later on the macOS Codex App side.
