What issue are you seeing?

The Codex desktop client settings offer an option for a translucent sidebar appearance, but this setting did not take effect when enabled. The sidebar or interface remained completely opaque and failed to achieve the expected semi-transparent effect.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the Codex settings
2. Locate the options related to semi-transparent / transparent effect
3. Enable this option
4. Observe that the sidebar color becomes darker

What is the expected behavior?

The sidebar of the Codex client has become semi-transparent.
