What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Version 26.527.31326 (3390)

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

After updating to the latest version of the Codex App, the option to copy the entire conversation as Markdown ("Copy conversation") has completely disappeared.

Previously, this essential feature could be accessed in two ways:

  1. By right-clicking a conversation in the left sidebar selection menu.
  2. By clicking the three-dot (...) menu next to the conversation title at the top of the chat page.

Both options are now missing from the UI context menus. Removing a perfectly working and highly utilized core feature makes updating the app frustrating, as we constantly fear losing existing workflows. Please do not deprecate features that work flawlessly.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open the Codex App (Version 26.527.31326).
  2. Look at the top of an active chat window and click the three-dot (...) menu next to the conversation title. Notice that the "Copy" submenu or direct "Copy conversation" button is gone.
  3. Go to the left sidebar, locate an active conversation or project chat, and right-click on it. Notice that "Copy conversation" is missing from the dropdown menu.

What is the expected behavior?

The "Copy conversation" option should be restored in both the sidebar right-click context menu and the top navigation three-dot menu. Users should be able to copy the entire chat history as formatted Markdown text. This feature is highly critical for our daily operations, particularly for transferring context/data between different AI agents and efficiently searching or archiving past conversations. It must be brought back.

Additional information

It is highly discouraging to see essential productivity features being removed in recent updates. For instance, you recently removed the context window spinner/indicator, which allowed us to track token limits and prevent unwanted automatic chat summarizations. Removing both that indicator and now the "Copy conversation" option breaks established workflows. Please maintain existing core features instead of removing them.
