Codex App: image preview close button overlaps the Windows window close button
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
OpenAI.Codex 26.601.2237.0
What subscription do you have?

What platform is your computer?
Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.19045.0 x64
What issue are you seeing?
When an image is opened in the Codex App preview, the preview's close button in the upper-right corner is positioned almost directly underneath the native Windows window close button. The two close controls visually and functionally overlap for most of their area.
This makes it very easy to click the window close button when the intent is only to close the image preview, which can unexpectedly close the entire Codex App and interrupt the current workflow.

There is no error message.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the Codex App on Windows.
- Open any conversation that contains an image.
- Click the image to open the image preview.
- Observe the two close buttons in the upper-right corner.
- Try to close only the image preview.
The image preview close button and the native Windows window close button overlap, so a small targeting error can close the application instead of the preview.
What is the expected behavior?
The image preview close button should be clearly separated from the native window close button, with enough spacing and a distinct click target. Clicking the preview close button should reliably close only the image preview.
Additional information
Observed in a maximized Codex App window on Windows. A screenshot is available, but it is omitted here because it contains workspace content; I can provide a redacted screenshot if needed.
