The Codex Windows desktop app UI is not rendering correctly. The window background appears partially transparent, and my desktop wallpaper becomes visible through the Codex app.

This issue is not limited to the Settings page. It happens across the entire app, including all pages and views. The sidebar, main content area, and different app pages should have a solid dark background, but instead the wallpaper is visible behind the UI, making the interface hard to read.

I attached screenshots showing the expected appearance and the actual broken appearance.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open the Codex Windows desktop app.
  2. Navigate through different pages of the app, including Settings, Browser / Tarayıcı, and other pages.
  3. Observe the sidebar and main content area.

Expected behavior:
The Codex app window should render with a solid, opaque dark background on all pages. The desktop wallpaper should not be visible through the app UI.

Actual behavior:
The Codex window appears partially transparent across the entire app, not only in Settings. The Windows desktop wallpaper is visible through the sidebar and main content area on multiple pages.

Troubleshooting already tried:

  • Disabled Windows transparency effects.
  • Restarted the Codex app completely.
  • Restarted Windows.
  • Checked Windows appearance and visual effects settings.
  • Checked for third-party transparency or UI customization tools.
  • Tried changing display/appearance related settings.

None of these steps fixed the issue.

This looks like a rendering or compositing issue, possibly related to Windows transparency/Mica effects or GPU rendering.

What is the expected behavior?
