Further information:

Codex app (Intel) managed to finish off the work on the branch (it did also crash, but recovered with a refresh button press)
After merging the branch, this morning the CLI is working again without crashing

Notes from Codex on my crash logs:

Even with all flags disabled, CLI 0.139.0 still unconditionally starts codex_code_mode::runtime::spawn_runtime.

The flags hide the feature but do not prevent V8 initialization.

It then hits the identical failure at (line 474): V8 cannot set executable-memory permissions because the Intel binary’s JIT entitlements/signature are invalid.
