Dear Codex Team,
I really enjoy using Codex across devices. Sending quick instructions from my phone to Codex running on my computer is already very convenient.
My main pain point is that I now have multiple Codex instances on different devices, but they are isolated from each other. I run a mini PC 24/7 as my main development machine, so I would like all code, data, and execution to stay on that machine.
What I need is a remote client / host mode: my laptop should be able to connect to, control, and delegate tasks to the Codex instance running on my mini PC, instead of launching another independent Codex instance locally.
This would make Codex much more useful for users who keep an always-on machine for development, automation, or long-running tasks.

My specific use case is Windows-to-Windows remote control in the Codex desktop app. I have a Windows PC that I want to keep as the always-on Codex host with the project files, credentials, tools, and execution environment. I want to control that host from another Windows device running the Codex app, instead of having to use Android/iOS or a Mac as the controller.
This would be very useful for users who run a dedicated development PC, mini PC, VM, or workstation and want to continue/approve/steer Codex work from a Windows laptop or second Windows desktop.

I have a Windows workstation that I’d like to use as my Codex “hub” and control from my laptop. Right now, I’m trying to work around the shared context/file issues with OneDrive and Codex automations on both devices, but it would be very helpful to have a clean, out-of-the-box solution for this.
What I’ve found is that at a certain workload, especially with multiple concurrent threads, the resource and power usage can make the laptop functionally unusable for prolonged work or any other meaningful processes. The workstation is the obvious place to run that workload since it has a faster CPU, more RAM, better cooling, etc. But then the only on-the-go interface is the phone, which is fine for some things, but not really the interface you want for more complex work, managing many concurrent threads, reviewing diffs, or coordinating larger tasks.
