5 Hour usage limit stuck at 99% for OVER 48 Hours

Stuck at 99% usage for 24+ hours, likely a stuck backend session, request manual reset

Hi,

I’m running into an issue with Codex usage limits that has completely blocked me.

Setup:

Codex Desktop App
Codex VS Code extension

Issue:

I hit the 5-hour usage limit yesterday morning (June 8)
The limit should have reset around early afternoon (~1–2 PM)
However, it stayed stuck at 99% usage and remained locked

What’s happening now:

It has been over 24 hours, and I am still locked out
The usage still shows 99%
I cannot run any prompts at all

What I’ve already tried:

Restarting VS Code and the desktop app
Logging out and back in
Full system restart

Additional context:

I was running fairly heavy queries before hitting the limit
It’s possible a background job/session did not terminate correctly

Request:

Check for any stuck or active backend sessions
Reset or clear my usage quota
Or terminate any lingering jobs tied to my account

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I am not sure as I am totally blocked from doing anything

What is the expected behavior?

My usage should have reset after 5 hours, however, every minute, it ticks forward the 5 hour window a minute further
