Latest update only restores last-week chats; older project histories still remain missing

Summary
After updating to the latest Codex Desktop version, some previously missing sidebar conversations appear to have been restored, but the recovery seems incomplete.
From what I can see, only conversations from within roughly the last week are visible again. The oldest visible restored conversations in the sidebar show around 1w. Many conversations older than one week are still missing.
For privacy, I am not including any specific project names or conversation titles here. The key issue is that the sidebar/history recovery appears to stop at about the one-week range, while older project conversations remain inaccessible.
Observed behavior
- After updating to the latest Codex Desktop build, some previously missing conversations reappeared.
- The restored visible conversations appear to be only recent ones, roughly within one week.
- Conversations older than that still do not appear in the sidebar/history.
- Some projects that have not been worked on for more than a week can still show
No chats, even though they previously had conversation history. - Those older conversations cannot be found or resumed from the UI.
Expected behavior
If Codex is restoring or re-indexing previously hidden/lost conversations, it should recover the full accessible conversation history, not only recent conversations from the last week.
Projects with older valid conversations should not show No chats just because the conversations are older than the recent window.
Actual behavior
The latest update appears to recover only part of the missing history. Older conversations from more than about one week ago remain missing from the sidebar/history, leaving some projects without their previous chat history.
Why this matters
This is a serious workflow and recoverability problem. Codex project conversations contain important development history, implementation decisions, debugging context, and task continuity. If a project has not been worked on for a week and then its previous conversations still show as missing or No chats, the user cannot continue work from the previous context.
Partial recovery is not enough if older conversations remain inaccessible. Users need a way to find and resume their historical project conversations, especially for long-running projects that are not touched every day.
Request
Please continue fixing the conversation history recovery/re-indexing logic so that conversations older than one week are also restored to the sidebar/history where possible.
At minimum, Codex should provide:
- full re-indexing of local/backend conversation history,
- recovery for older project conversations, not only recent ones,
- a fallback way to list older conversations for a project,
- a clear distinction between truly empty projects and projects whose older chats are not loaded yet,
- and a user-facing recovery or diagnostic path for missing historical conversations.
Please prioritize this. The issue has a direct impact on users who need to resume work from conversations older than one week.
