The entire conversation breaks after automatic context compaction (invalid_enum_value: 'context_compaction')

No other programming tool has an issue quite like this: why does the entire conversation result in an error after Codex automatically performs context compaction, causing any message you send to fail to work properly:

What steps can reproduce the bug?

You can achieve this effect almost immediately by having him work for an extended period and then compressing the context; the reason is that the characters recognized by the system are not actually these (in my opinion).
