Codex Windows desktop app 26.608.1337.0 exits during startup on Windows 11 build 10.0.26200.8655.

Logs stop after:
Appshot hotkey inactive configured=true enabled=true platform=win32

Crashpad dumps show C++ exception 0xe06d7363. With updater enabled, stack includes windows-updater.node. With
CODEX_SPARKLE_ENABLED=false, updater is disabled but the app still crashes, and stack includes better_sqlite3.node.

Clean profile via CODEX_ELECTRON_USER_DATA_PATH also crashes, so it does not appear to be user data corruption.

Evidence zip attached.

Closing as a duplicate of #27506, which identifies the same root cause: the crash occurs when the Windows user profile path contains non-ASCII (Korean) characters (C:\Users\웅디 in my case), causing windows-updater.node to fail with "Illegal byte sequence" during the startup runtime-copy step.I'll add my reproduction details and the evidence zip / Crashpad dump over on #27506 so everything stays in one place. Thanks to the duplicate-detection bot for surfacing it.
