What variant of Codex are you using?

App

What feature would you like to see?

In here we can add line or arrows or even description rather than editing with external tools first then uploading. Like from google stitch or claude design.

This is probably the same feature area as #28291. One additional detail from that issue: it would be especially useful if image preview markup reused the existing in-app browser annotation flow, where selected regions plus short notes are sent back into the composer.

That would cover generated images, screenshots, and uploaded/local assets without requiring external markup tools first, and would make follow-up prompts more precise than describing regions in prose.

This would be VERY, VERY, VERY useful! Right now it's a pain if you are not making a web app. And in the ChatGPT web, there is already a way to annotate images. And in Codex you can do it with the browser. Seem to be 1 just prompt away of adding the same functionality to the "image view". Same interface as the annotations in the browser dropping a pin or a drawing a region would be more then enough!

PS. If Claude Desktop would have this, I would actually consider moving back to them for a while. This is such a pain for me as I don't work on web apps now...
