Symptoms:

• White window flashes briefly and closes
• Codex CLI works normally
• codex app outputs:

"Opening Codex Desktop..."

• Reinstall failed
• Reset failed
• Repair failed
• .codex reset failed
• AhnLab Safe Transaction disabled
• Node.js works normally

Started happening after recent update.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Additional troubleshooting already attempted:

• Reinstalled Codex Desktop multiple times
• Repaired and reset the app in Windows Settings
• Deleted and recreated .codex state files
• Rebooted Windows
• Disabled AhnLab Safe Transaction
• Node.js works normally (v24.16.0)
• Codex CLI works normally
• Only Codex Desktop fails to launch
