Yes, something’s not right. Almost all of my chats are crashing with an error.
I’m not sure if it’s related to the update, but it started right after I updated the Desktop App

Same here. Also got ⚠ Falling back from WebSockets to HTTPS transport. stream disconnected before completion: websocket closed by server before response.completed error msg. Switching to gpt-5.4 does not lead to this bug.

After just updating (maybe coincidence) to Version 26.609.30741, same issue. New chat works tho.

I reported similar issues earlier yesterday and also contacted support, asking them to extend my $200 Pro subscription by the amount of time affected by this unusable Codex service. So far, nobody has properly responded or handled it.

This Codex outage / unusable-performance issue has already tortured me for two full days. If you also feel that their official handling of the problem and support attitude are unacceptable, you can also consider reporting it to the relevant consumer protection agency. I am already preparing to file a complaint.

If you think I’m taking it too far, you might want to look at how many issues I’ve opened over the past two days to report this problem.

They still haven’t handled it. At first, it only seemed to affect a smaller group of users, and I happened to be one of the unlucky ones. These issues have tortured me for two days. I have barely been able to work normally during this time, and I also contacted support, but I was basically ignored.

I suggest you take a look at the issues I opened, including the screen recordings inside them. Then you might understand how frustrating this has been 😭

We can solve this! Let's request the cancellation of the plan. Simple!
