Stable Codex Desktop 26.609.3341.0 exits immediately on Windows after update; Beta works

Unable to open the “About Codex” dialog because the stable app exits immediately after launch. Installed stable package version: OpenAI.Codex 26.609.3341.0.

What issue are you seeing?

After updating the stable Codex Desktop app on Windows, the app no longer
launches successfully. I installed and am currently using Codex Beta as a
workaround.

Environment:

• OS: Windows
• Stable Codex package: OpenAI.Codex 26.609.3341.0
• Beta Codex package: OpenAI.CodexBeta 26.527.7698.0
• Stable app executable exists at:

• Launching the stable Codex app creates a process, but the app exits

1. Install or update the stable Codex Desktop app on Windows.
2. Launch the stable Codex app.
3. Observe that the app process starts briefly.
4. Within a few seconds, the app exits without showing the main window or

an error dialog.

2. Observe that Codex Beta launches normally.
