Running codex on mac rapid fire error: com.apple.dock.external.extra.arm64 quit unexpectedly

What issue are you seeing?

Running codex causes rapid fire error dialog (one pops up as soon as the last is dismissed and they seem to be accumulating in the background if I don't dismiss them). Quitting Codex stops the error dialogs.

com.apple.dock.external.extra.arm64 quit unexpectedly.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Just start Codex app. error dialog pops up.

What is the expected behavior?

Additional information

restarted mac. same behavior. Error not seen before yesterday after updating codex. No macOS update was performed in that time. Codex usabilty seems not to be harmed by this error.
