What issue are you seeing?
When opening a new chat window/conversation in Codex Desktop, the first message does not send promptly. After pressing send for the first message in the new chat, the app appears to wait or hang for several minutes before the message is successfully sent.
Original report: 開新對話視窗，首次傳送訊息時，需等待好幾分鐘才能成功送出。
This appears to be specific to the initial send in a newly opened chat window.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Codex Desktop.
- Open a new chat window / new conversation.
- Type a message as the first message in that new chat.
- Press send.
- Observe that the message does not send successfully until after waiting several minutes.
What is the expected behavior?
The first message in a new chat window should send promptly, without a multi-minute delay.

This is going to make me stop using this program altogether and cancel my subscription. This is absolutely ridiculous and it makes it completely unusable. I've been sitting here for 15 minutes waiting for one fucking message to post.
how is this not fixed? it's such a debilitating problem. literally every single new chat takes several minutes to start.
I have a huge git diff (600k line changes +, on win 11) not sure if that might contribute to the issue, but i don't understand why follow up messages process instantly but a new chat takes forever to post.
Codex is such a powerful tool - even though i've used it for months it still feels like magic - but man that bug is such a performance killer.
Update: When connecting the mobile app you can use that as a workaround to submit a new chat quickly
