What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

OpenAI.Codex_26.609.4994.0

What subscription do you have?

plus

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

Before upgrading, HatchPet and image generation workflows worked correctly.

After upgrading to version 26.609.4994.0, image generation no longer works.

The imagegen skill is still present and can be discovered by the agent, but the built-in image_gen tool is not exposed in the session.

As a result:

HatchPet detects that image_gen is unavailable.
It falls back to the CLI/API path.
Current bundled plugins:

browser
chrome
computer-use
latex

No image-generation-related plugin appears to be available.

Current tool list includes:

web.run
browser
computer-use
shell_command
apply_patch
view_image
other standard tools

However, no image_gen, image_generation, or equivalent image generation tool is exposed.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Install/upgrade Codex Desktop to version 26.609.4994.0.
Start a new session.
Use HatchPet or an imagegen-based workflow.
The workflow reports that the built-in image_gen tool is unavailable and attempts to use CLI fallback instead.

What is the expected behavior?

_No response_

Additional information

The same machine and workflow worked before the upgrade.
Reinstalling Codex Desktop did not resolve the issue.
The problem appeared immediately after upgrading.
The installation status is reported as OK.

not work , after upgrade to Version 26.707.72221

I still can’t generate it in this task because the built-in image_gen tool isn’t available here.
