Cannot auth Codex extension with ChatGPT via Microsoft

Which model were you using?

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.22631.0 x64

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  • Install CODEX on VS code
  • Sign with ChatGPT
  • Takes you to the page where you can login, I chose Microsoft login
  • Shows this page

By continuing, ChatGPT will share your name, email, and profile picture with Codex CLI to link your account.

Codex CLI will not receive your chat history.

  • Click continue
  • Shows this page with "Missing authorization code" at the url:

http://localhost:1455/auth/callback?error=access_denied&error_description=The+resource+owner+or+authorization+server+denied+the+request.+The+consent+verifier+has+already+been+used.&state=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What is the expected behavior?

Logs in to Codex with ChatGPT

What do you see instead?

  • Shows this page with "Missing authorization code" at the url:
