macOS Dock helper crash in CodexDockTilePlugin setDockTile on Intel Mac

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

What subscription do you have?

Workgroup/Business

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 24.6.0 x86_64 i386

What issue are you seeing?

Codex app version: 26.609.41114, build 3888
macOS: 15.7.7 (24G720)
Hardware: MacPro7,1 Intel x86_64

Issue:
A macOS crash dialog recurs every several minutes, even when Codex is not visibly running.

Crash process:
com.apple.dock.external.extra.x86_64

Loaded plugin:
/Applications/Codex.app/Contents/PlugIns/CodexDockTilePlugin.plugin

Crash signature:
EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE
Thread 0 repeatedly recurses in:
-[CodexDockTilePlugin_com_openai_codex setDockTile:]

Observed behavior:
Dock helper crashes repeatedly. Stack shows hundreds of recursive calls to setDockTile:.

Expected behavior:
Codex Dock tile plugin should not crash the Dock external extra helper.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Since a recent application (Codex) update, this bug just happens, whether or not Codex is running. It happens every 20 minutes.
