What issue are you seeing?
Codex App prompt box spellchecks as German even when Codex App language is English US, Windows language/input/proofing is English US, Windows spellcheck highlighting is disabled, and the machine has been rebooted.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Have a bi- or multilingual Windows. Install Codex. Try to get it to spellcheck in the language it currently runs in.
What is the expected behavior?
Set language to English (US) in Codex App and get English spellchecking.

Codex spellcheck is still not working after the latest update.
I’m on Codex app version 26.623.3763.0 on Windows. The Chromium profile settings appear to be correct: spellcheck is enabled, language is set to en-US, dictionary is present, and the Preferences files were verified across both the Roaming profile and the WindowsApps LocalCache profile.
The issue seems to be that the Codex editor itself is not showing spellcheck underlines for misspelled words. This may be because the app is using a custom editor surface, likely CodeMirror, that is not honoring Chromium/native spellcheck settings.
Please review this as an app/editor-level spellcheck bug, not just a local profile setting issue.
As a workaround you can temporary enable from the windows
Settings → Time & Language → Typing → Show text suggestions when typing on a physical keyboard. It will suggest you the words like in the mobile phone the T9. It's not the same as right-click (that it still doesn't work, no suggestions on wrong words) but it is something.Still a thing in the latest version, pretty annoying issue to not have resolved in such a long time.
