What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.609.71450

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Codex Chrome Extension does not connect in Google Chrome Beta on macOS.

I only have Google Chrome Beta 150 installed, not stable Chrome. The Codex Chrome extension 1.1.5_0 is installed and enabled in Chrome Beta at:

~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome Beta/Default/Extensions/hehggadaopoacecdllhhajmbjkdcmajg

But the native messaging host is missing for Chrome Beta:

~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome Beta/NativeMessagingHosts/com.openai.codexextension.json

Codex appears to create the native host only under the stable Chrome path:

~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/NativeMessagingHosts/com.openai.codexextension.json

Result: Codex shows Chrome connected, but the extension popup in Chrome Beta says disconnected, and Codex cannot connect to the extension bridge.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?
