What issue are you seeing?

This started last week and I just didn't use Codex until today hoping there would be an update. There was and I tried to install it and failed so I cleared system chahe and tried to diagnose logs w/Codex after install attempet was successful.

Codex macOS app 26.611.62324 / bundle 4028 appears to trigger repeated macOS security assessment and high CPU after fresh reinstall.

Symptoms:

• Fresh reinstall still reports Codex 26.611.62324 as newest available.
• Launching Codex causes high CPU:
• Codex ~114%
• syspolicyd ~59%
• trustd ~45%
• WindowServer ~45%
• Fans spin up even when no Codex task is running.
• spctl -a -vv /Applications/Codex.app returned:
• "Too many open files"
• later "bundle format unrecognized, invalid, or unsuitable"
• codesign has reported:
• "/Applications/Codex.app: invalid signature (code or signature have been modified)"
• Previous in-app update failed with:
• "Failed to resume installing update"
• Sparkle updater appeared to hang during extraction.

Environment:

• macOS on Apple Silicon
• Codex installed at /Applications/Codex.app
• Reinstalled fresh and cleared Sparkle updater cache:

~/Library/Caches/com.openai.codex/org.sparkle-project.Sparkle

Just opening the Codex app causes fans to spin and "Thinking" takes an extremely long time.

I only use this machine for work and not sure why this started to happen.

What is the expected behavior?

Using the app as I have for weeks without incident is the expected behavior.

Additional information

Last week I downloaded WhisperX and not sure if there is some conflict that is happening?
But WhisperX is not running and I only tested a few times.
