Support scrolling and stopping at a history view while typing

What feature would you like to see?

Currently when we refer to a long previous message for multiple times when we draft a new response message, we have to scroll up and down constantly. This is especially painful when we use tmux, where we have to use additional key combinations to switch between typing and scroll.

This use case is very common as during planning and investigation, users may ask the agent to propose questions and need to repeatedly scroll up to review the questions to answer them one by one. It is very helpful if we can get a scrollable buffer for the previous round response without interfering with the buffer for the new message.
