Your old menu was so much better, it had easy ways to know if something wwas activated it was compact and not a prolbem. Also, having to scroll and add apps that way is more or extra menus for things just adds complexity when we wnat to add multiple plugins.
UX UI design is about the user experience not about making things "more complicated".
WHy change a mneu that was working really well? and now makes more steps than beofer (or scrolling.
