What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.616.32156 (released June 19, 2026)

What subscription do you have?

Plus

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

The Codex desktop app prompts me to install the Codex Chrome Extension. Clicking Open takes me to the Chrome Web Store URL for extension ID hehggadaopoacecdllhhajmbjkdcmajg, where Chrome shows: "This product is not available". Codex consequently reports Google Chrome as not connected. Removing and reinstalling the Chrome plugin in Codex does not resolve the issue.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Feedback ID: 019ee034-a29f-71a3-abf3-07c81f804bcd

What is the expected behavior?

The Chrome Web Store listing should be available so the Codex Chrome Extension can be installed and Codex can connect to the user's Chrome browser.

Additional information

Chrome version: 147.0.7727.138
Chrome extension ID: hehggadaopoacecdllhhajmbjkdcmajg
Codex Chrome plugin bundle version shown in the app: 26.616.32156

Local diagnostics show that the extension is not installed in the Chrome profiles. The native messaging host manifest file exists, but the corresponding Chrome native messaging host registry registration is absent.
