Codex Desktop 26.616.51431: Quick/Fast Mode option and Reset button disappeared

What issue are you seeing?

The Quick/Fast Mode option button has unexpectedly disappeared from the Codex Desktop UI. The Reset button is also missing.

In the model/reasoning selector, I can still see the reasoning options (Low, Medium, High, Extra High) and model choices (GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4, GPT-5.4-Mini, GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark), but there is no Quick/Fast Mode option visible anymore. I also cannot find the Reset button that used to be available.

This looks like a UI regression after the latest desktop app update. I did not intentionally change any setting that should hide these controls.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex Desktop on macOS.
2. Sign in with a Pro account.
3. Open a conversation/workspace.
4. Open the model/reasoning selector.
5. Check the surrounding UI/settings controls.

Expected behavior

• The Quick/Fast Mode option button should still be visible and selectable.
• The Reset button should still be visible, or there should be a clear replacement path to reset the relevant settings/UI state.

Actual behavior

• Quick/Fast Mode option is missing.
• Reset button is missing.
• Only the reasoning effort and model selector are visible.

• The current model/reasoning selector with GPT-5.5 + Extra High selected.
• The About Codex dialog showing version 26.616.51431.
• The macOS system info showing macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 on a 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max and 128 GB memory.
• The app profile/settings menu where I could not find the missing controls.
