What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

I am unable to send any message in the Codex App.

When I type a prompt and click send, the message does not get submitted. Instead, a dialog appears saying:

"Kan bericht niet verzenden"
"Laden..."

This roughly means:

"Could not send message"
"Loading..."

The Codex task never starts and the prompt is not sent. The UI remains stuck. I cannot use Codex for the selected project.

I also cannot select or switch to other models in the Codex App. The model selector appears to be unavailable, stuck, or not loading correctly.

This happens consistently, not just once.

This does not seem related to the project, the prompt, or Unreal Engine. The failure happens before Codex starts processing the task.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the Codex App.
  2. Select a project.
  3. Type any normal plain text prompt.
  4. Try to select or switch to another model.
  5. Click send.
  6. A modal appears with "Kan bericht niet verzenden" and "Laden...".
  7. The message is not sent.
  8. No Codex task starts.

Session id:
Not available, because the task never starts.

Token limit usage:
Not applicable, because the prompt is never submitted.

Context window usage:
Not applicable, because Codex fails before processing the prompt.

What is the expected behavior?

The Codex App should allow me to select or switch models.

After clicking send, the prompt should be submitted successfully and Codex should start working on the selected project.

If there is a connectivity, authentication, session, account, or model availability problem, the app should show a clear error message instead of staying stuck on a loading dialog.

Additional information

Things I already tried:

  • Restarting the Codex App.
  • Opening a new Codex session.
  • Selecting the project again.
  • Trying a normal plain text prompt.
  • Trying again multiple times.
  • The issue still happens.

Actual behavior:
The model selector does not work, the message fails to send, and Codex remains stuck on a loading/error dialog.

This looks like a Codex App session, connectivity, authentication, or account/model availability issue.
