What steps can reproduce the bug?
Just use codex normally in WSL. That graph shows significant 5.4 usage as far back as late May
What is the expected behavior?
I ask for 5.5 and get 5.5 only. My ccusage shows only 5.5

#28211 possibly related but symptom differs (mix between models is very different)
I spent a ton of time looking into this and it's just the "ambient suggestions", the suggested prompts etc that Codex generates. Every feature of Codex that's model derived other than the core thread calls are a sub model like 5.4 etc
attempted to turn off all ambient suggestions and still seeming the symptom
