What issue are you seeing?

When I upgrade to this version and use codex-cli as usual, I found it often fails start with log: "unknown variant oauth, expected one of apikey, chatgpt, chatgptAuthTokens, agentIdentity, personalAccessToken, bedrockApiKey at line 2 column 22".
First I think this bug because of I use both codex-cli and vscode expandation, however I uninstall the expandation and it still change automatically, So I submit this issue.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. use vscode bash and upgrade codex to the newest version
2. login with auth-device
