Codex project stuck in sidebar: no Remove action, new tasks route into stale project

What issue are you seeing?

Problem:
The Codex project "news-gatherer-insight" is stuck in my workspace/sidebar and cannot be removed.

Details:

• I want to delete/remove the whole Codex project entry, not just a thread.
• The project has no three-dot menu.
• There is no Remove, Archive, Hide, or Delete action.
• New projects remain empty, while new tasks keep routing into "news-gatherer-insight".
• Resetting C:\Users\mihai.codex did not remove it.
• Checking/resetting possible Codex AppData/LocalAppData cache paths did not remove it.
• After restarting Codex, the stale project still appears.
• Codex-side verification found:

• list_projects returned no project records
• searching recent threads for "news-gatherer-insight" returned no matches
• the local shared C:\Users\mihai\Documents\Codex workspace only shows today’s projectless folder
• codex delete is not applicable because it deletes sessions/threads, not whole project entries.

Expected behavior:
The project should expose a Remove/Delete action or should be removable server-side.

Requested fix:
Please remove/reset the stale Codex project entry "news-gatherer-insight" from my account/workspace server-side.

What is the expected behavior?

The Codex project news-gatherer-insight should either:

1. expose the documented project menu with a Remove action; or
2. be removable/resettable from my Codex workspace/account by support/backend cleanup.

Creating a new Codex project should create chats/tasks inside the newly selected project, not route them into the stale news-gatherer-insight project.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

• Restarted Codex
• Reset C:\Users\mihai\.codex
• Checked/reset possible Codex AppData/LocalAppData cache paths
• Created a clean empty project/folder: Codex_EMPTY_SANDBOX
• Confirmed codex delete is not applicable because it deletes sessions/threads, not whole project entries
