Context is lost after switching models

After switching models inside an existing conversation, the app appears to lose or ignore the previous conversation context.
By the way the reason why I switched models was that the app first showed an error indicating that the gpt-5.5 model could not be found or was unavailable.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Switch the model from GPT-5.4 to GPT-5.5 using the model selector.
