Unable to create new Codex sessions (chat and project creation timeout)

macOS 26.5 (Build 25F71), Darwin 25.5.0, arm64 / Apple Silicon

I am unable to create any new Codex sessions.

Both chat creation and project/session creation are failing consistently with a timeout error.

Issue behavior

• Creating a new chat → Timeout
• Creating a new project/session → Timeout
• Switching models does not resolve the issue
• Existing sessions (if any) work normally, but cannot start new sessions

What I have tried

• Restarting the app
• Reinstalling the app
• Logging out and logging back in
• Switching models

None of the above steps resolved the issue.

Expected behavior

New chats and projects should be created successfully.

Actual behavior

All new session creation requests fail with a timeout, with no authentication or validation error shown.

Impact

I am currently unable to use Codex for any new tasks or sessions.
